What does XChat actually do?
XChat allows users to “chat with anyone on X in a private, focused space built for conversation,” per the app’s description. XChat doesn’t include ads or tracking, and messaging is end-to-end encrypted. A preview of the app first showed features like the ability to block screenshots, send disappearing messages, hold group chats, and make video calls.
