What is DarkSword?
DarkSword is a highly sophisticated attack that goes after two iOS vulnerabilities at the same time. Manifesting as malicious content opened in Safari, it can lead to full kernel control and complete access to data stored on the iPhone. This can include accessing contacts, photos, videos, and other files the user may have stored on their smartphone. It is also possible for an attacker to track the iPhone's location and activate the microphone and camera for surveillance purposes. Normally, this sort of attack is used sparingly due to the cost, time, and other resources required to pull it off.
