This will be the first time in a while that Amazon is holding its summer Prime Day event so early. Prime Day has traditionally been held in July, but will officially kick off on June 23 this year. However, this wouldn't be the first shift we've seen. In 2020, it was pushed to October due to COVID-19; in the following year, the event took place in June. In 2022, the retailer had events in both July and October.

Amazon Prime Day 2026 is live now, and runs through Friday, June 26. While Amazon’s massive summer shopping event has traditionally been held in July, this year marks a shift to an earlier, expanded four-day format.
