This year's Memorial Day weekend runs from Friday, May 22, through Monday, May 25, though many retailers started sales early.

Memorial Day is always observed on the last Monday of May, which falls on May 25 this year. But like most major shopping events, many sales will kick off well before then. Most events will likely peak the weekend before the official holiday -- May 23 and 24.

While they haven't announced any official sales yet, we're expecting plenty of Memorial Day savings from major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart.
