Skin surveys for Overwatch began in December 2023, and they pop up roughly three times a year, meaning this is the ninth one. About half of the themes seen in the first five of these surveys have had one or more of their skin concepts make it into the game, including the Norse skins from Season 14, the Demon Rocker skins from Season 16, and the Pool Party skins from Season 18.
