How Does Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Look On Nintendo Switch 2?

I was awfully impressed by Final Fantasy 7 Remake on Nintendo Switch 2. It looked and ran better than it had any right to, making me feel like I was playing the PS4 Pro version right in the palm of my hands, but with a few extra gameplay modifiers to boot. Square Enix did truly incredible work with this port, and I’m happy recommending it to new players experiencing it for the first time. As for hardcore fans like me, it’s superior to the Steam Deck version and is also playable on a television, even if the resolution never gets remotely close to 4K. It’s killer, but it was also porting a game

Is Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Worth Playing On Nintendo Switch 2?

But the open world is where players end up spending most of their time. Blurry is the single word I’d use to describe it, since Square has definitely lowered the rendering resolution and torn away all effects and assets to achieve a solid level of performance. Indy100 posted one of the most negative breakdowns of the game’s performance. Calling it “too ambitious” for the Nintendo console in its current state, the tester labels it as a “bit of a mess.” Textures often look blurry, with reduced draw distances showing the limitations of the hardware. More troubling, the journalist suffered multiple crashes during gameplay. One common complaint in many Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Switch 2 reviews is regular pop-in. Despite the optimization efforts detailed by director Naoki Hamaguchi, the glitches can be distracting when exploring. Breaking immersion, Ninten

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Switch 2 review calls performance a mess despite improvements
Should you buy FFVII Rebirth on Switch 2?

If you want the best-looking and performing version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, then playing on Switch 2 obviously shouldn’t be your first choice. You’ll get the best visuals and frame rate on PS5, Xbox Series X, or one of the best gaming PCs. However, that’s a given. If you want the ability to play FFVII Rebirth anywhere, the Switch 2 version offers this USP, and while it does make sacrifices to get there, they’re not dealbreakers by any means. Best of all, you don’t need to rely on my subjective judgement before committing your cash. Square Enix has released a pretty generously long demo o
