If my bestie but not quite girlfriend was murdered in cold blood, obviously the first thing I’d do is bomb down a snowy mountain on the sickest snowboard known to man. This has become such an infamous moment of tonal backlash in the original game that I’m curious to learn how the remake trilogy plans to tackle it. Will it be presented as a straight-laced minigame, or will this journey down the mountain be reimagined into a narrative sequence where Aerith’s ghost is pulling off sick tricks with us?
