The in-game countdown timer in Fortnite Showdown is counting down to the start date for this season’s Epilogue Live Event, marking the end of Chapter 7 Season 2. When the countdown timer reaches zero, the Fortnite Shattered Live Event will begin, pitting both Team Foundation and Team Ice King against one another. Once the live event ends, it is expected that Fortnite will go into downtime, with Chapter 7 Season 3 beginning the very next day.
