The Lego x Pokemon Go event will begin on August 3, 2026, and run through until September 30, 2026. The event has been dreamt up to coincide with the next wave of Pokemon Lego sets, a drop that will really beef up the growing collection. The range kicked off with just three sets earlier this year, but at least 12 more will be released on August 1. The 12 sets confirmed for an August 1 release so far are all a part of Lego's Smart Play range, meaning they can make noises and interact with each other if they have a Smart Brick attached. Since the sets are part of Lego's Smart Play range, they're interactive. That means, when equipped with a Smart Brick, they can make sounds. You were likely expecting those sounds to be the ones the Pokemon make in the anime, where, for the most part, they say their own names. "Pika-chu!", "Jiiiiiggly-puuuuufff", that sort of thing. You know the drill. At a stretch, you might have expected the new sets to make the cries that the Pokemon make in the games. Even that would be an odd choice.
