In the MCU, Red Skull was destroyed thanks to his contact with the Infinity Stones, ending up as a Stone guard on Vormir. In the comics, Red Skull was killed in 2024's Thunderbolts #4. The villain was targeted by Bucky Barnes' team, but ultimately killed by Doom, who loathes him for his part in the genocide of Romani people during the Holocaust. Red Skull has remained dead ever since, and is now fully confirmed to have perished and passed on to Hell. Sadly, Red Skull has returned from death before, setting up failsafes including clones and digital recordings of his mind.
