He wants to be with his beloved forever and asks you to put him in the family crypt. If you do, you get the Proto Spark trinket, a highly useful item that brings you back from death once your health reaches zero, without you having to lose a spark. The Duke does eventually die, though. You don't get the trinket if you just walk away. Sealing the Duke unlocks an additional scene later in the game, though it's just extra storytelling and makes no change to anything else in the game. If you don't give Buffo the jug, he will say: "C'mon, I really want it, don't be like that!" but nothing else will happen. You can pick this option if you'd like to do something else for now, and give him the juice jug later. If you give Buffo the jug, he'll turn into an enemy equipped with a paddle and fireball projectiles, so be prepared for battle! While fleeing is certainly an option, consider moving to the larger arena just east of Buffo's original spot to find a bit more room for burrowing. Given how polished Mina the Hollower is on all platforms, there are minor issues and some caveats to keep in mind per platform. Each handheld or portable platform delivers something of note, but is held back in a way. The Switch 2 delivers a solid experience with HDR, but the d-pad is bad. I can't stand using the Joy-Con 2 controller split d-pad. If you play with the left stick and are ok with that, this is not an issue. Everyone has their own priorities for what they want, so I'm going to list the advantages and disadvantages of every single version of Mina the Hollower that I have played pre-release as a conclusion to this feature below: Mina the Hollower on Switch 2 or Switch: I have played Shovel Knight on every platform, but I spent the most time with it on Switch. I'm glad that Mina the Hollower on Switch delivers a competent and well-optimized version of Yacht Club Games' newest, and it looks superb on the Switch OLED screen.
