Paralives

Para kids are automatically enrolled in school when you create your family with a child. If you have your Paras get pregnant, they will get automatically enrolled when they're old enough. Kids will be in school from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (or 9:00 to 15:00 if you use the 24-hour clock) on Monday through Friday. The career tab is replaced for Para children, and will instead show the subjects they take, and the grades that they currently have. Much like adults and their jobs, your children must be in a good mood to perform well at school, so make sure you take care of their needs.

There are no official tools for building a basement in your Paralives home yet. However, basement tools are a part of the Paralives roadmap and will be coming sometime within the early access period, which is listed as 2026-2028.

Since Paralives is being praised as the next great successor to The Sims, many people are calling for features they're used to, like pets and pools, as well as a few new things they haven't seen yet, such as functional vehicles. These features are on the list to come to Paralives, but are not available on release. There aren't specific dates for any of their updates to come for now. The Paralives roadmap notes its first major update is planned for Q4 2026, so that's a tentative October to December window. We don't know what the update entails just yet, but we do know it's my favorite price: Free. Until then, the rest of the roadmap outlines a period of hotfixes, bug smashing, and existing feature improvements from June to September 2026. Then there's a broader "within ~2 years of early access" note for more major updates, including a system for weather and seasons, pools, pets, and more.
