As of this writing, Sony’s only confirmed game at the show is Wolverine, which will kick off the showcase. Insomniac’s latest superhero game is coming to PS5 on September 15, so this will probably be the beginning of a big marketing push as the game nears launch.
What third-party games might be at the State of Play?
Sony isn’t going to be the only company talking about its games at the State of Play. The company has a marketing agreement with Rockstar for Grand Theft Auto 6, and while that game doesn’t need anyone’s platform to make a big marketing splash, if it were going to show up anywhere in these summer showcases, it would likely be here.
