In the previous Tomodachi Life game, grown up kids would have the choice to move away and return to visit, or remain residents on the island to start their own stories there. Miis can and will fight in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, but these events can be quite rare. In my experience, the only fight to happen on my island (which is currently Rank 88 with 25 Miis) was between two Miis that were romancing one another. This fight was triggered when one Mii became jealous of their partner speaking to another Mii. Miis will often have disagreements in which they may not see eye to eye on a conversation topic, or one Mii may become sad after being rejected, but these are not fights. Yes, Miis can break up in Tomodachi Life Living the Dream. It’s not something that’ll just happen randomly out of nowhere, though, and is instead more of a long-term process that takes a while to make happen. Because of this, you’ll want to be very careful about allowing Miis to romance each other, as it’s not easy to separate them once a relationship starts.

Yes, Miis who get married can get divorced. This process is even more difficult than a regular breakup, though, as the Miis have a much stronger bond. All the same tricks work for trying to make a divorce happen, but you should expect it to take much longer and be a lot harder to achieve.
